A member asked:

What are the chances for fulminant multiple sclerosis to lead to death & how can it be cured?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very low odds: 1. Marburg form of ms is indeed aggressive and can move rapidly, but invariably occurs in children and almost never beyond adolescence. 2. Tumefactive form in adults is also rather rare, and likely occurs in pts who are not in treatment or taking ineffective meds, but can be reversed. 3. If ms diagnosed, use an effective potent medicine to maximally control (not avonex!).
