Needs evaluation.: Mumps can cause orchitis, which is an inflammation (pain/swelling) of the testicle. But many other conditions that would be much more worrisome can cause this. It would be worth having this evaluated.

Early orchitis: Mumps orchitis is typically painful given swelling and edema of testis. Mumps can cause irreversible damage to the testis, but if the other testis is ok then fertility shouldn't be impaired. The affected testis will atrophy. Non-steroidal medication, short-term corticosteroid treatment, and some might prescribe antibiotics (despite viral nature) to treat symptoms. Please see your doctor.
