Caution Advised: The combination of these two medicines can increase the anticholinergic (antagonizes the action of acetylcholine) adverse effects which include: central nervous system depression with confusion and somnolence (sleepiness) blurred vision increased thirst constipation hyperpyrexia (increased temperature) the combo can also decrease the efficacy of the elavil (amitriptyline). Please talk with your doc.
