Yes.: Donnatal (phenobarbital atropine hyoscyamine and scopolamine) is usually prescribe for abdominal cramps, or irritable bowel syndrome. The Phenobarbital portion is a sedative. It may cause drowsiness especially in combo w/ other sedative meds. The atropine, scopolamine and Hyoscyamine drugs decrease muscle spasms in the gut. You should check w/ your dr. ; pharmacist about interactions w/ other drugs.
