Prophylactic Therapy: Prophylactic therapy or preventive drugs such as pamelor, depakote, topamax, (topiramate) beta blockers, calcium channel blockers are generally helpfull in reducing frequency and intensity of these headaches. If these are not successful, Botox injections can be effective and the benefit lasts for weeks to months. Occipital nerve injections can also help for occipital neuralgia frequently confused with migraine.

??: If there was one remedy effective for everyone things would be simple. Migraine triggers and treatment vary from one person to another. Try working with a provider well versed in headache treatments.
