My mother(49) has myocardial ischemia for past 6 months.. but now there's no pain..is it necessary to take an angiogram test?

Chest pain: The decision depends on her clinical situation. We do an angiogram to see where the obstructions are and if there is an option for catheter or surgical based revacularization. If she has no symptoms that's one important part of the decision but should discuss with the dr. To get the whole story. Her clinical situation and status play a significant role in the decision.

Gold standard: An angiogram will definitively answer the question of is she having angina and can she be opened. There are less invasive test which can be administered, first. She should be under a doc's care, if avail.
