Please discuss this: With your wife's obgyn as he or she should tell her what to expect pre c-section and post c-section, the standard of care , 0, 1 or 2 doses post op to prevent infection any ?S regarding anything about your c-section, please ask your ob, i spend a good amount of time with all of my pts telling them what to expect and things to do post c-section.

No : Your wife will receive one dose of an antibiotic just prior to her c-section. Otherwise, assuming everything goes as planned, she will not need anymore afterwards.

Probably not: But each obstetrician has their own policy on post-operative care. Discuss with her doctor and allow them to explain their procedures. Do this in advance of the delivery date.
