Effexor (venlafaxine): At 150mg, Effexor (venlafaxine) is not just inhibiting reuptake of serotonin, but also of norepineprine. This could result in most of the symptoms you list -- the purple knees one is a little perplexing, though. Please contact your own physician about all this.

Possibly: What you are experiencing are side effects related to the increased dosage of effexor (venlafaxine).
