Hydration: Heat from sauna and running increase fluid loss from sweat. Running also dilates blood vessels to get oxygen to muscles - meaning more fluid is needed. Drink plenty of water when exercising, especially in warm weather. For intense, prolonged exercise, sports drinks may help. Pain in back is less clear - may be pulled muscle or something more serious. Discuss this with health care provider.

Dehydration: It seems like a great idea to either get into a whirlpool or sauna, thinking it will loosen up your muscles, but not so. If you are dehydrated, you may actually start cramping and also have those dizzy spells. Wait a few hours until you are well hydrated.
