Carriers: People can be asymptomatic carriers of typhoid bacteria, excreting the organism in the stool. Often the source is the gall bladder.

Possibly: Salmonella typhi can persist in the gallbladder as a carrier state for years after active GI infection. If your doctor checks your stool cultures and you are free of it, then this is less likely. People who remain culture positive can have this cleared by several methods, but until then should not be involved in food handling for others.
