Difficult: Being a busy parent myself...I sympathize. However, look for ways to cut back on calories - simple carbohydrates (breads, chips, crackers, etc). Don't eat the leftovers on your childrens' plates, and take some personal time for a walk (pushing a stroller is good exercise). Remember, setting a good example for your children will go a long way, as children who are obese will likely grow up obese.

If busy...: Easiest way would be food control...Cut down your portions at each meal, (use smaller bowls and plates) stop all calorie containing beverages, and avoid bringing fatty or sugary snack items into the house that'd tempt you. Snacking and drinking calories tends to be where busy ppl let calories sneak into their lives.
