Yes: Exercise lowers glucose, but the body responds to lowered glucose by dumping more glucose into the blood stream, which can raise sugar slightly for a period of time.Also finger stick glucoses are not that accurate. It may be an aggressive response to exercise that can be seen in people who are already overweight and Insulin resistant.
