Best to be safe; NO: There are no data on the excretion of fexofenadine into human milk. Pseudoephedrine is excreted into human milk. There are no reports of adverse effects in infants who were exposed to Pseudoephedrine in breast milk. The american academy of pediatrics considers Pseudoephedrine to be compatible with breast-feeding, but Allegra has insufficient studies to prove/disprove safety. Recommend against.

Yes: Available data show < 1/2% of adjusted maternal dose of Allegra (fexofenadine) is transferred in the milk & 5% of the pseudoefedrine. Between the two, it is considered relatively safe in breast feeding although i rather not use the "d" form. See hale t."medications and mother's milk", pp450, 954. 15ed, 2012.
