See an allergist: Consultation with an allergist would be the next step to confirm your allergy to cats and/or other allergies. Then treatment can include various avoidance precautions, pharmacotherapy (including antihistamines, nasal sprays, etc.), and most importantly allergy injections due to the persistent exposure to cats that you will be having in the future.
