Is doing 500 jump ropes every day enough to lose weight?

Jump rope: It depends. If you did it very slowly so that it really didn't raise your heart rate much, no, you really wouldn't lose weight. If you do it briskly enough to get your heart rate up to 80% of your target heart rate (meaning a serious workout), then yes, it would probably help you to lose weight. Personally, i would choose a much lower impact exercise like biking or elliptical machine.
