Not: Do you mean nicotine patch? No medicine patches are used to treat c. Difficile. Oral vancomycin 125mgs. 4 times a day or oral Flagyl 500 mgs. 3 times a day for 10 to 14 days is the usual treatment. Unfortunately 20-25% of patients relapse after this treatment and require additiional courses of treatment.
