Nicotine is rapidly: converted to cotinine & is detectable in blood for 1-3 days. Cotinine is detectable in urine for up to 10 days. Nicotine/cotinine may stays in hair for 3+ months but the test is expensive & seldom done. It's easy to "cheat" on a urine drug test for tobacco. But, in the long run, the only person you're cheating by continuing to smoke is you! You cheat yourself out of a long, healthy life....
