2 types: All persons with asthma should have a quick relief inhaler like albuterol to be used when needed for immediate relief. Persons with persistent asthma need a daily controller medication. The most effective daily controller are inhaled steroids. Other medications used as alternative or add-on therapy is montelukast tabs and long-acting bronchodilators. The best inhaler is the one used correctly!
