No : Fever is not an illness & it shouldn't be suppressed unless your child is "uncomfortable." fever is an invaluable immune response that may improve recovery, rather than threatening wellness.

No: Sleep is a healing /supportive process as is fever to some extent. If a kid is grumpy with fever & awake, i feel it is fine to use meds.If the kid is fine but hot, treatment is unnecessary.You should never wake a kid just for fever meds.
