Maybe: The radiologist is simply pointing out that you have a curvature of the spine that seems more than "normal." the radiologist cannot see "pain" on the xray so usually send you back to the ordering provider to discuss any findings.

Sometimes: Scoliosis can cause back pain depending on how severe it is and it has associated degenerative disk disease. Mild scoliosis should not be a cause of severe back pain.

See a specialist: That term refers to a curvature of the spine. There are several reasons for that but an evaluation by a spine specialist is in order. I would suggest that you look for a spine physiatrist in your community. You are unlikely to need surgery so there should be no need to see a spine surgeon.

Scoliosis: Dextro means right, convexity implies a curve. So another way to say dextroconvexity is to say you have a right sided scoliosis. This ma or may not be associated with your pain. An MRI would be the test of choice to see if the source of your pain is in the spine. Thank you for your question.
