Popped' thoracic spine hugging someone 10 days ago. excruciating pain in thoracic spine, electric radiating around ribs into chest. mri & x-rays normal! muscular?? feels like nerves more than muscles though. what could be?

This is more likely a pinched nerve that moved a bit with the big hug, with some nerve impingement and swelling. It should slowly resolve as the nerve moves back into a comfortable position.
