IBS diet: Fodmap is a diet for those with irritable bowel syndrome and stands for "fermentable oligo-, di- and mono-saccharides, and polyols" a diet with these substances, the theory goes, increases liquid and gas in the bowels, causing bloating & pain. If you cut down foods in the fodmap list, says the australian researchers, ibs will improve. Low fodmap foods at: http://fodmaps.Org/the-low-fodmap-diet/.
