Yes: Do you know what your triggers are for symptoms? I would ask my patients to keep a food diary and a symptoms diary to try and identify what dietary items were triggers for them. In addition, stress and other forms of stress can be triggers. Trying to manage that stress can be helpful as well. There are medications available to try and help control symptoms. Can discuss with your doctor.

Sure .....: FODMAP is a diet restricted in short chain carbohydrates which seem to be poorly absorbed in the small intestine & rapidly fermented by bacteria in the gut. It seems to be helpful, but challenging. Most people can control symptoms of IBS by eating a normal diet high in fiber, possibly adding a fiber/psyllium supplement, drinking a lot of water, & exercising daily. You can also try to avoid FODMAPs
