A member asked:

My daughter gets nausea in the morning.her doc prescribed prilosec. one in morning before eating. that was a week ago. she still has it. blood work ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kids often nauseated: Depending on the age of your daughter, her nausea may be "functional", "central", infectious, gynecologic or other non-gi causes. If her nausea is GI related and not responding to low-dose prilosec, she may either need a bigger dose of acid-blocker medicine or investigation of the gallbladder, liver, pancreas, gastric outlet, as well as small and large bowel. Time to see her doctor for testing.
