My 17yr old is vomiting bile regularly. i took her to the pediatrician, they put her on prilosec and i had also taken her to the er last week. blood work came back ok, x-ray of stomach was ok, not pregnant. but still vomiting bile often. no pain?

If she is vomiting bile, there is blockage at a level below the stomach. An upper GI study with a small bowel follow through would be my minimal evaluation. If it's not bile, other things that trigger vomiting must be investigated.

Please return to a children's hospital emergency room. An evaluation including additional labs and imaging is indicated. Watch for signs of dehydration, encourage sips of fluid and discuss whether a GI consult is recommended.
