Reflux: Sounds as if he has rather significant reflux. While this is a messy malady, if he is growing and gaining weight and developing normally, don't panic. Talk to doc about anti-reflux formulas, feed small amounts more frequently, keep upright after feeds, good burping, etc. Now that he is at an age where he'll be more upright and eating solid foods, things should startto improve. If not, see doc.

Sounds : Like he may have reflux unless he is overeating! this should have already been addressed during his prior visits with his pediatrician. Best to consult with his physician to be sure he is not losing weight and getting dehydrated as soon as you can.In the meantime, just give small amounts till you see the doctor.
