See below: A healthy liver should cause no pain but a liver pain is usually a vague and dull pain in the right upper abdomen. Occasionally it can be sharp and stabbing and can radiates to the back or shoulder. Pain can accompanies difficult breathing. Although nash/nafld can cause some pain, most patients have not symptoms.

Liver ache: Usually liver does not ache . Nash is a pathologic diagnosis and many people have a fatty liver from being over weight etc. But it is not a problem that causes physical stmptoms.
