Lactic acidosis: Although accumulation of Lactic Acid in muscles during anaerobic exercise may cause temporary burning, i don't think your soreness is related to lactic acidosis. It is more likely a result of using muscles that you haven't used for a while. Boxing is very strenuous. Lactic acidosis in hospitalized patients usually results from impaired tissue oxygenation due to tissue hypoperfusion in shock.
