Maybe: But not commonly. Have you had a gallbladder ultrasound evaluation? Gallstones can cause right upper abdomen discomfort. If the liver becomes enlarged from fatty liver, it may be possible to have pressure feeling from stretching of the capsule over the liver causing discomfort.
