A member asked:

Can a borderline enlarged liver from fatty liver cause your muscles to hurt and ache?

It is not likely..: Fatty liver by itself typically does not cause pain. Acute hepatitis--either from infection/alcohol/or drugs can cause pain, but you will have other symptoms as well. From knowing a bit of your history (you have lost 52lbs in 6 months and liver is only "borderline fatty"), i sincerely doubt the liver is the cause of your pain. Please consult doc for eval what else is causing your pain. Good luck.

Not likely: Depending on the degree of fatty liver disease you could have some abdominal pain but much less like muscle aches. Best of luck.
