Can you inject saline into the subdural space to "flush out" any residual anesthetic that spread after epidural steroid inj causing muscle weakness?

Yes: The simple answer to your question is that you can certainly inject Normal Saline into the epidural space and this can dilute out an anesthetic or an attempt can be made to then aspirate the solution. The reason it is not done is that the effects of the anesthetics causing muscle weakness are very temporary and so it is much safer to just let them wear off than to try to remove them. Thankyou.

No reason to do that: The body will get rid of the medication. Any procedure if only with saline has the potential of causing more problems.
