That depends: Tiny, hard balls can be a sign of constipation. What is the fiber content of your diet? Are you hydrating adequately with water? Enough physical activity? Dairy can be binding - excess dairy?

HYDRATE: I suspect you are under hydrated. The colon's function is to pull excess fluid from the body waste. If you are under hydrated, your stool will become very firm. So, drink more water and juices, make sure you take in a good supply of grains, and take it easy on the dairy products. Good luck.
