Probably: Depends on the cause but that is a potent anti inflammatory that should provide some relief for most conditions. However it is not a pain pill so the relief may not be immediate.

You should not : Randomly take medication unless prescribed by your doctor. Having said that, in some cases the Prednisone may help. On the flip side, the Prednisone is a steroid so once must be cognizant of the side effect they can induce osteoporosis. Physical therapy and an antiinflammatory is another option.
