My husband is 79 1/2 years old and have mass polyp on his descending colon. the doctor want to remove part of his colon , is emr another option ?

Maybe, but..: Early stage, superficial, and pre-cancerous lesions may be amenable to endoscopic mucous resection. However, more extensive, or more deeply extending, masses will require a wider resection to be sure it's removed more completely and safely. Getting a second opinion, or having another conversation with your care team, are good options.
