A member asked:

Will a sinus infection resolve on its own? at what point do i need antibiotics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Go to your doctor: Early sinusitis is treated with decongestants. Increasing pain, fever and excessive discharge could indicate a bacterial infection requiring antibiotics. Go to your doctor for a proper examination and treatment. Chronic sinsusitis can cause problems, such as a sinus abcess and rarely a bacterial infection with serious health consequences.
