Lonopin: Lonopin g is a low-molecular weight Heparin (an anticoagulant). The reason she was given this may be b/c a common cause of multiple miscarriages is an antibody - known as "lupus anticoagulant." the name is a misnomer - it does not mean she has lupus and it is actually a pro-coagulant, not an anti coagulant. Hence the use of the low dose anti-coagulant therapy. Lonopin doesn't cross the placenta.
