Gender determination: In one study, an accuracy rate of assigning fetal gender was found to be 98% by angle of 30 degree studies and 92% by baby scans at the 14 week point. However, the percentages won’t matter much, if your fetus’ gender was incorrectly classified & that was particularly important to you. Sometimes it is hard to determine.

Usually: If your question is about accuracy of dates, earlier scans are better to judge the gestational age. More accurate is first trimester scans (upto 12 weeks). But 14 weeks is also accurate in experienced operator.
