if an ultrasound was done at 14 weeks is it accurate?

Gender determination: In one study, an accuracy rate of assigning fetal gender was found to be 98% by angle of 30 degree studies and 92% by baby scans at the 14 week point. However, the percentages won’t matter much, if your fetus’ gender was incorrectly classified & that was particularly important to you. Sometimes it is hard to determine.

Plus/ minus 2 weeks: A single ultrasound for dating is only good to estimate gestational age within 10 days to 2 weeks. Serial ultrasounds tend to be much more accurate.
