A member asked:

What are the cause of getting infection in your tubes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

STDs: Usually, tube infections (pelvic inflammatory disease) is caused by sexually transmitted diseases, like chlamydia. Gonorrhea and intestinal bacteria can also contribute. Sometimes, tube problems are not from infection, but from endometriosis. This is a condition where the lining of the uterus spreads to other places like the tubes, ovaries or pelvic cavity.
