Second degree burn on my face. scab is gone now but it is red and the skin is scaly and uneven. its been a week since the burn. will this heal more

Burn: You should moisturizer this area with non scented lotion and keep it from being exposed to the sun. Have it evaluated by a surgeon familiar with burn care. The face heals extremely well so hopefully you won't need and other treatment.

Yes, treat scar: Wounds need to be healed prior to using scar care creams like mederma. Superficial to mid-dermal burn wounds will usually heal within 2-3 weeks if the wound does not get infected. Infection can make the injury deeper. These wounds will heal with little or minimal scarring if the scar is protected form picking up pigment by exposure to uva/uvb. Deeper burns require specialist care including surgery.
