Acne: Yes. Doxycycline has both an antibacterial and anti inflammatory action against acne. These antibiotics hold acne under control but they do not cure it. However they prevent scarring until your body grows out of acne naturally. They can be used as suppressive therapy for long periods of time. The dose should be regulated by your doctor.
