Doxycycline: If you are taking two pills a day drop down to one pill a day for 2 weeks, the one pill a day every other day for two weeks and then stop the doxycycline.

Over a few weeks: Doxycycline is a very effective antibiotic used in acne therapy. Most patients are on a therapeutic dose and then , when the acne has improved, they go on a lower dose -- such as 50 mg per day. To go off the med, cut the dose and look for worsening acne -- if no worsening noted, you can safely stop. More important issue is sun sensitivity when beginning tetracycline! -- but no problem for you!
