If the doctor finds that your pain is not serious, he should explain to you that it is not related to a serious cause and that you may not have to report each episode of pain. That said, if you get a different type of pain it would need reevaluation. For instance, a young woman with musculoskeletal pain, such as from costochondritis. Not serious.

Yes unless....: You should tell your doctor about all episodes and then let him or her decide whether it requires you coming in.
