Acute Illness?: The swollen lymph node especially if relatively acute indicates your body is trying to fight off some type of infection...Viral, bacterial, etc. The shoulder pain if in the same area as the lymph node is likely referred pain or involved in the process. See your doctor to establish a diagnosis.
