Hard to say : It's possible that you injured the knee at the same time you sprained your ankle. A sprained ankle should not cause knee clicking. Have it checked out.

Sprain: Because of torque forces that caused the ankle sprain, those same forces can translate to the knee and damage either the collateral ligaments or the meniscus surfaces. Your sports podiatrist or an orthopedist should be consulted.
