Yes: An acl tear does not usually occur by itself, isolated from all other injuries. Typically, you you bruise the cartilage and bone of the knee, and can also tear the meniscus and mcl. The cartilage and mcl can both cause those symptoms. However, not being able to bear weight is severe enough to warrant a trip to your friendly neighborhood orthopod!

Yes: See orthopedic surgeon , first probably will put the leg in cast to prevent more injury and to give rest to joint(s) then physical therapy. If no improvement fix it by arthroscopic surgery, ask your family doctor to recomend one for you.
