Grade 1 DD?: Are referring to grade 1 diastolic dysfunction on an echocardiogram? If so, this is a condition where the heart's ability to relax is impaired. Grade 1 would be mild, where as grade 4 would be the worst. Diastolic dysfunction effects the hearts ability to pump blood effectively and can lead to heart failure. Continue to see your physician regularly for treatment of this condition.

Diastolic dysfunctio: Dd indicates diastolic dysfunction which means that the heart muscle has impaired relaxation- a stiffness- of the muscle. It is a common finding in those with hypertension and progresses from mild to severe. Grade 1 is mild.
