Common issue: By 4yo 80-95% of kids are dry day & night but some are not even at 6 or later. The ability to stay dry depends both on nervous system maturity and willingness to do the work.Chronic constipation often impairs a kids ability to be dry & scheduled voids may hold them back rather than encourage success. I give kids freedom to decide when to go & offer to help if needed. Your doc can help.

No: At this age control should be normal. Two suggestions--- 1. Enuresis (bed wetting) is due to exaggerated activity of the automatic nervous system. Commonest cause is poor diet, especially sugar. 2. By making her use the potty every 2 hours she may be trying unconsciously to give you a message that she objects to your efforts to control her. Put the two together and you may solve the problem.
