Herpes zoster: If these burned just prior to eruption or are painful this may be herpes zoster, a recurrent deactivation if the chicken pox virus. Need culture to prove and if positive, start either Acyclovir or Valtrex (valacyclovir) to treat/prevent also at some point in future consider zostivax vaccine if age >65.
