Absolutely not: In fact, the pathology community is talking about doing away with the word "cirrhosis" altogether because we now know it's often reversible. Alt/ast are markers in obese people for obesity-related liver disease (rule out other causes) but this is extremely common & only occasionaly lethal. However, obesity is serious and much more likely to detract from your quality and length of life.
