Probably: You didn't mention what medication you use, but your question is relevant for methotrexate, leflunomide, and other medications. If patients have health insurance, i usually order the entire liver profile, but if not i order fewer tests, usually the ast.

It depends: It depends what we are looking for. Alt- alt can show enzyme activity. Liver panel should also include bilirubin, Albumin and may be prothrombin time to diagnose and monitor certain conditions. Your doctor would have included those tests if necessary but check with your doctor.
